Next time you visit a Doctor's office take a look around. See how many pharmaceutical industry marketing trinkets are around. You should be able to find Ink pens, clipboards, notepads, tissue boxes, computer mice, keyboards, posters, pamphlets, refrigerator magnets, note clips, and a whole lot more.

My only point is that as patients and consumers we should be aware of motivations and considering that we are talking about our health, we should also do a little research on what we take - no matter who prescribes it and why. Always see if there is a generic equivalent and always make sure you really need the drug before you start taking it. Despite the common misconception, there is not a pill to cure everything.
